Recognition of academic merit at the School of Economics

The academic merit recognition ceremony organized by the School of Economics was held on January 3 in the Multiple Use Room of the University of Azuay.

The main objective of this event is to recognize the two best students of each cycle of the career by delivering a diploma and an honorable mention.

In addition, it aims to encourage and enhance the academic performance of students in general.

On this occasion, the students were accompanied by their classmates, friends and family who celebrated their achievement with their loved ones. Subsequently, the delivery of certificates began.

The winning students were in the third cycle, Andres Ortiz Coronel and Thalya Jara Jara; fifth cycle, María Freire Orellana and Doménica Alvarado Rodas; of the seventh cycle David Arias Piedra and Andrea Córdova Coronel; and from the ninth cycle María Gabriela Jaramillo and Andrea Cochancela.

Finally, María Joaquina Iñiguez, student representative, addressed those present, encouraging them to follow the example of the winning partners:

"Remember that we are all capable of achieving academic excellence, only effort and dedication is required."
