Entrepreneurship Fair at the University of Azuay

The April 11, in the design yard, was held the Entrepreneurship Fair organized by the Association of Employees and Workers of the University of Azuay (AETUDA) with the Association of Teachers (ASPUDA).

From eight in the morning, the University opened the fair with the participation of twenty-five positions. Within the tents you could find a wide variety of local products: from designers who had their own brand of national shoes to companies that offered a range of cheaper and youth services aimed at students.

On the other hand, Banco del Pichincha gave information to university students to access student loans. '' We offer solvencies of up to twenty-five thousand dollars in five-year installments. In order that all young people can study masters in foreign universities, "explained Pedro Espinoza, commercial services officer.

The School of Food Engineering had its own stand of fresh cheeses and sausages. "We want all the people who belong to the administrative part of the University to see the products that the students elaborate in order to introduce them for internal sales," said María Fernanda Rosales, School Coordinator.

The teachers were also present at the Entrepreneurship Fair. María Fernanda Samaniego -at the subject of Arithmetic at the Faculty of Science and Technology- set up a tent with artisan pastry:

'' Making pastry is a hobby that I have practiced for several years. I just got my degree as an artisan and because of that I started an online store of cakes and sweets. All my desserts I make by hand with first quality products in a workshop that I have in my house.

At noon, the Association of Teachers offered a lunch from the restaurant '' La Cuadra de la Rosita '' to all teachers of the UDA. About three hundred teachers enjoyed the 'hornado de chancho', a typical dish from the city of Cuenca.
