Support for young entrepreneurs

Support for young entrepreneurs

On November 19, the Business Administration Degree and the Cuenca Chamber of Commerce, through the zoom platform, announced a joint project to support students who have ventures.

The project aims to provide mentoring by different entrepreneurs with the aim of strengthening the management of young entrepreneurs.

Galo Salamea, representative of the Chamber of Commerce, pointed out that the entrepreneurship commission has been created in order for this union -one of the largest with more than a thousand members- to create a link with the University that guides its students with spirit of entrepreneurs.

For Francisco Merchán, an expert in entrepreneurship strategies, the main strategy for initiatives to be sustainable over time is to answer three questions: Who are we going to play against? Where are we going to play? and How are we going to win?

María José Gonzales, mentor of this project, considers that the objective is to support the students of the University of Azuay, that the ideas expressed in the classrooms are developed and are part of their future work.

“You have to have a vision that is outside the four walls of the classroom, it is important that the knowledge received throughout university studies is familiarized with professional life and what better if these activities are supported by great professionals who encourage entrepreneurship to create wealth and decent sources of employment ”, concluded Oswaldo Merchán, Dean of the Faculty of Administration Sciences.

The registration dates will be extended until the end of November to be able to start the mentoring sessions.
