Accountability of the Universidad del Azuay period
The act of rendering of accounts in charge of the rectorate of the University of Azuay was carried out the 28 of March in the Room of Multiple Use of the institution.
The board of directors was made up of the Rector, Francisco Salgado, the Academic Vice-Rector, Martha Cobos, and the Vice-Rector for Research, Jacinto Guillén. The event was attended by deans and sub-deans, professors, administrative staff and students.
"In this space we reflect and think deeply about the question, what university do we want? From there comes the sap that nourishes our path and that undoubtedly illuminated this singular year with the celebration of our golden wedding, "said the rector.
In the reading of the report, the projects carried out in the March period 2018 - March 2019 were announced. 22 held congresses, forums, seminars and conferences with more than 6.000 participants, in addition to 28 courses, lectures, exhibitions and workshops.
In turn, the publishing house of the University generated 41 works and 43 publications in international and national indexed journals.
In the academic sphere, the Higher Education Council (CES) approved the 28 innovative projects of the UDA, 17 postgraduate programs were offered, 2.000 grants were awarded and 115 agreements were signed.
With regard to linkage, 55 projects were executed, while in the area of continuous training, 42 courses and programs were offered to professors, administrators, students and the general public. Likewise, in the area of research 67 financed new projects and in the cultural part 31 events were organized.
In this period, the House of Service to the Society, the La Trabana campus and the Plaza de los 50 years were also inaugurated. Also, some facilities such as the General Auditorium and the Hernán Malo Library were readjusted; In addition, offices were built for the departments of Mi UDA, Linking with the Society, Continuing Education and International Relations.
