Accounting and Auditing joins the celebrations

On December 1 and 8, the School of Accounting and Auditing joined the 50 years of the Faculty of Administration Sciences with talks.

Gabriela Duque, Coordinator of the School, commented that “despite the circumstances we live in, we have tried to create many events with the intention that, within the framework of this celebration, we can have talks aimed at our students so that they can learn about the different themes that are offered in our Faculty ”.

The first talk was called "Microenterprise Regime, the True Application" and was given by Cristina Trujillo, member of the Board of Directors of the Latin Europe-America Integration Committee CILEA, who has been president of the Pichincha College of Accountants and is the author of the book Practical and Tax Legislation.

Professor Duque pointed out that she was oriented towards a new tax regime called the microenterprise regime. This is of great importance since it is novel and above all because of the implication it may have in micro-enterprises, which is a majority sector within the country.

"The objective of this talk was to publicize the true application of a microenterprise regime conceived as a simplified regime that has been in force since 2020," said the teacher.

There was a participation of 219 people nationwide, among them were undergraduate students, professionals who are studying master's degrees and teachers of the Faculty.

To continue with the celebration of 50 years of Administration, on Wednesday, December 8, the conference entitled “Role and Challenges of Management Accounting in XNUMXst Century Companies” by Beatriz Aibar Guzmán took place.

"The talk was focused on how management accounting forms a fundamental role in companies today, and also the importance it takes after the pandemic we have experienced," Duque said.

The School Coordinator added that management accounting seeks to take advantage of all economic resources and efficiency in their management so that correct decision-making can be formed within companies.

“We have sought that both our undergraduate and graduate students are updated in the accounting and tax case that are so changing, and that these changes can provoke in our students to be able to feel the importance of accounting science so that in the Nowadays businesses are afloat ”, concluded Duque.
