"Human", images against stereotypes

On June 24, at the Casa de Chaguarchimbana, the photographic exhibition Humano was inaugurated, a portrait of people from the LGBTI + Community and allies, with the aim of promoting an inclusive and safe environment within our university.

The event was organized by the Federation of Students of the University of Azuay "UDAFE" and the Association of Students of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art.

Andrés Pauta, President of UDAFE, highlighted that "this event is the beginning of a project agenda focused on equality and equity issues that we will carry out in the coming days and months. 

"Human" seeks to break the stereotypes that have been established for years between us, to achieve respect, equity and equality in our society.

Photographer David Ruiz took all the photographs in the exhibition.

The exhibition will run until August 31, so the organizers invite the entire university community to visit it.
