Harvard Peer-Selected Law Professor

Silvana Tapia, a professor at the University of Azuay Law School, was selected by an institute at Harvard University to attend a workshop in Geneva, Switzerland, in January next year. 

The Institute for Global Law and Policy (IGLP), belonging to the prestigious American university, gathers to academics who do socio-legal and critical studies related to international law. 

"This institute organizes every year an academy for academics, in which on the one hand there are seminars with very established professors from all over the world, and on the other there is a group workshop to expose the current projects of the participants and receive detailed feedback with the primary objective of publishing the work, "explained Dr. Tapia.

The teacher added that pTo be selected to the workshop there is a competitive process in which the CV is sent and the project with which it will participate (academic article draft with research results).

"In this case I sent the results of the project we did with the University of Birmingham on violence against women," concluded the professor of the Faculty of Legal Sciences.
