Discussion on entrepreneurship with Guillermo Lasso

The November 26, in the Multiple Use Room, the Student Federation of the University of Azuay (UDAFE) organized the discussion `` Undertake and Innovate into the future '' with the businessman and former presidential candidate Guillermo Lasso.

The event started at eleven in the morning with a welcome greeting from Mateo González, president of UDAFE, and then the first point of the day was Lasso's personal life and his career as an entrepreneur.

During the second part of the conversation, the students asked for a personal definition of entrepreneur.

'' An entrepreneur is someone who dreams. A person who has faith in himself, in his dreams and who is not afraid of failure. ''

The third topic of the discussion was developed around the `` bad reputation '' that entrepreneurs acquire over the years and the possible negative or rejection attitudes that the population has to them.

Lasso commented that this narrative is very present in these times and the only thing that is achieved with that is that people see entrepreneurship as something bad.

Other topics of the discussion were the lack of credibility and opportunities that young people have in front of employers, the danger of a de-dollarization of the Ecuadorian economy and gender violence in the workplace.
