New laboratories at the Faculty of Science and Technology

On November 22, the Faculty of Science and Technology inaugurated the hydraulics and hydrosanitary laboratories and structures laboratories, located in front of the Faculty courtyard.

The new structures laboratory will serve for the master's degree that is in the approval process. Hydraulics and hydrosanitary models will be implemented that have a methodological guide so that students can perform their practices more efficiently.

Esteban Cabrera and Antonio Crespo, professors of Science and Technology, opened the event with a musical intervention. Then, Martha Cobos, Academic Vice Chancellor, said:

'' These laboratories are a sample of the science put into practice at the service of our students. They are the engine of everything we do at the University. It is a pleasure to work with people who put all the effort to create new infrastructures. ''

Andrés López, Dean of the Faculty, commented that `` it is important for engineering students to have adequate infrastructure so that people can develop; The new laboratories are marked by the identity that characterizes professors and university students of the School of Civil Engineering. ''

The Dean also mentioned that those responsible for designing the laboratory infrastructure were the architects Alfredo Ordoñez, Fernando Córdova and Pedro Samaniego.

To finalize the event, the Dean and the Coordinator of the School of Civil Engineering cut the ribbon that inaugurated the new infrastructure.
