First course of Medical Simulation of Intensive Care

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Azuay and the Department of Intensive Medicine of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, together with the Chilean Society of Intensive Medicine and the Ecuadorian Society of Intensive Care, held the I International Course "Hands On" in Intensive Care on July 10, 11 and 12 days in the Postgraduate Auditorium of the UDA.

The event included 17 general practitioners and specialists in areas related to the direct care of the critically ill patient, from various cities in the country and Chile.

The speakers were doctors David Carpio, Marcos Ortega, Emilio Valenzuela and Eduardo Kattan.

These courses allow the development of skills and abilities that directly benefit patients to be learned through simulation in a very efficient and safe way.

Education with simulation is present in the most important centers of the world, and this time - thanks to the support of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Azuay and the Department of Intensive Medicine of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile - it was possible to carry out for the first time This time with a great Academic level.
