On Thursday 7 in February, at the House of Service to Society, the anniversary of the Accounting and Fiscal Support Center (NAF) of the University of Azuay was celebrated and the signing of an inter-institutional agreement with the Chamber of Popular and Solidarity Economy of the Azuay and Cañar, represented by Geovanna Vallecillas.

The NAF completed a year of work committed to society, the main reason why this project was created, as well as being able to offer students in the Advanced Accounting career the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired throughout their studies. said professor Gabriela Duque.

"In this first year of management, we have been able to realize many dreams and aspirations, achieving to date 6 training courses with the SRI, 135 students trained, 105 students who have done their pre-professional practices in this center, 1.580 taxpayers attended and 2161 cases resolved, "explained the teacher.

With respect to the agreement with the Chamber of Popular and Solidarity Economy Azuay and Cañar, the teacher said that it reinforces the commitment of service, since it allows to support the work of small entrepreneurs that require permanent training and support in their management and organization activities.

"The agreement also makes possible future work in other aspects such as conducting continuous training courses, planning and support for new ventures, promotion and monitoring of existing projects, as well as the implementation of linkage and research projects," added Duque.

The Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries was the nexus for the realization of the agreement and to link the Academy with the business sector in the pursuit of a common goal: constant growth and support for the community.

"We hope that the agreement signed today is just the beginning of many links that we can achieve with the guilds and associations of the city, as well as we are sure that the results announced will multiply in the years to come," he concluded. Duke.

The NAF project involves several schools: prior to their internships, the students of Superior Accounting receive a customer service course taught by the Coordinator of the Tourism Career. In addition, the cases attended have a constant record in an information system developed in coordination with the Career of Systems and Telematics.
