World trade in times of pandemic

On September 8, the "World Trade and Politics" event was held for the schools of International Studies, Economics and Systems Engineering in Computer Science of the University of Azuay.

After the welcome - by the Rector Francisco Salgado, the Dean of the Faculty of Legal Sciences, José Chalco, and the Coordinator of the School of International Studies, Mónica Martínez - it was the turn of the speakers, all UDA teachers.

María Inés Acosta opened the conferences with her theme "Superposition of digital businesses over traditional ones and the role of data management" and highlighted the role of logistics in the commercial area of ​​companies.

Then, Matías Abad addressed the effects of the pandemic on world trade, which in 2020 "fell to 8.9% due to the paralysis of businesses, industries and consumption."  

The other invited speakers were Ana María Bustos, Coordinator of the Law School and specialist in Constitutional Law, and Emilio Ochoa, honorary professor at the University of Azuay since 2019.
