Inauguration of the Second Business Fair

Inauguration of the Second Business Fair

On January 16, the Second Business Fair was held in the design courtyard of the Universidad del Azuay.

The fair is organized by the Department of University Welfare -MiUDA- and the University Job Exchange, and its objective is to promote employment among students and graduates of our community; as well as giving companies the opportunity to recruit qualified profiles that can adapt to their requirements.

The authorities invited for the inauguration were: Francisco Salgado, Rector of the University of Azuay; Martha Cobos, Academic Vice Chancellor; José Chalco, Dean of the Faculty of Legal Sciences; María Elena Castro, Director of Student Welfare of the UDA, and Rubén Tamayo, Coordinator of the Labor Exchange.

In addition, several authorities, administrative staff, teaching staff and University students attended.

"I think this type of fairs is essential within the University, because we as students find it difficult to get a job in the first instance, so this is a great help to know what we could work in the future," said Adrian Naranjo, student of Clinical Psychology.

In the event thirteen tents were located where a company was located in each one, whether public or private. The exhibitors made known the benefits of working in each company and subsequently the requirements that must be presented in order to enter as a new worker.

Among the participants were the State Attorney General's Office, the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute, Banco del Austro, Cartopel Group, Continental Tires, Graiman Industrial Group, La Europea, Indurama, Gerardo Ortiz, External Talent Hunters, Banco del Pichincha, La Motora, and Meet2go.

The attending students cleared their doubts about the exhibiting companies. At the end of the explanation, the students gave their data so that companies subsequently send more information on topics of interest.
