Photographic exhibition "Diabetes concerns us all"

The 10 of April was inaugurated in the City Museum the second edition of the photographic exhibition "Diabetes concerns us all", result of a contest in which students of the School of Communication of the University of Azuay and photographers from the city.

The exhibition, which can be visited until the 25 in April, aims to motivate young people and adults to see the positive of having healthy habits and, in case of suffering the disease, to take it in the best way.

Ana Fernanda Sánchez, Director of the House of Diabetes, said that the theme of "diabetes concerns all of us" seeks to raise awareness among the population about proper nutrition, daily physical activity and frequent medical checks to prevent diseases such as diabetes.

Ana María Durán, Liaison Coordinator of the Faculty of Philosophy, mentioned for her part that the exhibition is part of a campaign that, through the University's linking projects, seeks to educate about the disease and prevent it.
