Vaccines reach university professors

The vaccination days will arrive this weekend to the teachers of the Cuenca universities, the doses will be applied on Sunday, reported the Zonal Coordination 6 of Health.

The immunization of academics is within the vaccination schedule that has as headquarters the Poliforo of the Catholic University of Cuenca and the Bicentennial Campus of the University of Azuay, behind the Borja school, for the application of second doses.

The vaccination of older adults who are retirees and pensioners of the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute (IESS) is also carried out, this in the Elderly Care Center, in the old IESS hospital, on Huayna Cápac avenue.

Another vaccination point is the Manuela Garaicoa school coliseum where vaccinations are applied without appointment to people over 80 years of age, people with physical or intellectual disabilities of more than 50% and patients with catastrophic diseases. 

Meanwhile, there are unions that demand to be included in the schedule. Yesterday the pharmacists of the Austro made a public call to be immunized because they assure that they remain at permanent risk of contagion.
