Universities "self-examine"

Five conferences about the reality of the Ecuadorian university open today the "Symposium thinking about the university", which will be taught at the University of Azuay (UDA), from the 08: 00 to the 13: 00. Access is free and after registration, the writer and academic Iván Carvajal will open the cycle of talks. The objective is to have a permanent dialogue and debate about the university reality, its raison d'etre and foundations for, from these reflections, to propose ideas, explain what we think about ourselves and the desirable reforms for higher education, explains Diego Jaramillo , teacher of the UDA and member of the organizing committee of the meeting.

The papers will deal with the future vision of the Ecuadorian university "in a horizon of perplexity", the university before the contemporary social and technological changes, the evaluation of the universities, their autonomy, among other topics.
