Universities offer postgraduate degrees

Between this month of February and March, the city's universities keep registrations open for postgraduate studies, an academic offer that has expanded over the years and that seeks to give professionals more skills in their different areas and meet the needs of professionalization .

The University of Cuenca, the Salesian, Azuay and Catholic Polytechnics offer these programs in face-to-face, online and hybrid modalities that include face-to-face and online activities.

There are different costs according to the university and the area of ​​study, but also scholarships, discounts for former university students or new students.

 

UPS with 18 postgraduate degrees

The Salesian Polytechnic University, UPS, keeps registration open until the end of this month for 18 programs. Classes start in May this year.

In the area of ​​Social Sciences and Human Behavior, the Master's Degree in Communication and Sports Journalism is offered; Digital Strategic Communication; Cultural Management; and, Psychology.

In the area of ​​Science and Technology, the master's degrees in Information Security; Automotive Engineering with a mention in Automotive Business; Software; in Mechanical Engineering; Industrial Production and Operations; and Telematics.

In Administrative Sciences there are master's degrees in Foreign Trade and Logistics Management; Business Administration; and, Accounting and Auditing.

While in the area of ​​Life Sciences, it offers the master's degree in Agroecology; Research in Natural Pharmaceutical Products; Physical activity; and, Renewable Natural Resources.

In Education there is a master's degree in Special Education.

Diego Peñaloza, postgraduate director, explains that to access the programs you must pass the admission process that includes interviews.

Costs range from $5 to $7 with discounts that can be found on the institution's website.

“Society demands new skills for the challenges ahead and the fields of action must be expanded. You have to update yourself and develop new skills in the professional field,” Peñaloza mentioned.

 

Masters in the "Cato"

 

The Catholic University of Cuenca keeps registration open all month to access 13 master's degrees, three of these online and 10 face-to-face. The costs range from 4.500 to 7 dollars and last between two and three semesters.

The fully online master's degrees are: Occupational Health and Safety, mention in Occupational Risk Prevention; Business Administration with mention in Direction and Project Management; and, Education with mention in Intercultural Education.

The face-to-face master's degrees are: Obesity and its Comorbidities; Care Management; Accounting and Auditing, mention in Tax Management; Constructions, mention in Administration of Sustainable Construction; Social Work, mention in Social Projects; Education, Technology and Innovation, based in Azogues; Research in Pedagogy with mention in Teaching and Innovation

educational; They teach English as a Foreign Language.

In addition, Veterinary Medicine, mention in Surgery and Clinic of Small Species; and in Criminal Procedure Law and Oral Litigation.

Cristian Erazo, Postgraduate Advisor, indicated that all these offers seek to satisfy the specialization needs of professionals, "when a program is created, it is based on studies of labor demand, specialty and monitoring of graduates from all universities."

In this university there are discounts for the vulnerable population and others for prompt payment. Classes will start at the end of March.

 

Programs at the UDA

 

At the University of Azuay they refer to the eight master's degrees that are offered in different areas of knowledge and whose inscriptions end on Sunday, March 13.

Here the costs vary from 5 thousand to 6.500 dollars. Those interested can learn about each master's degree in detail on the website, the study modality that can be hybrid or face-to-face, the degree forms that can be through thesis, complex exam or presentation of a project.

The programs are: Master of Business Administration; Master in

Primary health care; Master in Climate Change, Agriculture and Sustainable Rural Development; Master in Cancerology; Master of Commerce with Mention in Entrepreneurship and Circular Innovation; Master's degree in Early Development and Early Childhood Education, mention in Early Attention.

Also, Master of Interior Design and Master of Mechanical Design.

The study time varies according to the program and can be from two to four semesters.

The UDA master's programs seek to contribute to the scientific, social, and economic development of our city, region, and country.

 

Program in U. of Cuenca

 

The University of Cuenca maintains the inscriptions for the Master of Science in Engineering for the Management of Water Resources valid until February 25.

It is a full-time face-to-face inter-institutional program offered jointly with the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral, the Universidad de Cuenca, the Escuela Politécnica Nacional and the Universidad Técnica del Norte, within the framework of the VLIR Network Ecuador.

The website details that classes will start on April 18 and the program costs $8.600.

Classes taught by professors from the four participating institutions with experience in areas of water resources research.
