Universities support mediation

The rectors of the Catholic University of Cuenca, Salesiana Polytechnic, UPS, University of Azuay, UDA, and the University of Cuenca, signed the agreement at the weekend to renew the Open Chair project of Citizen Education and Coexistence Culture.

The objective of this chair is to promote a civic education and culture of coexistence through mediation, civic responsibility and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.

Said plan is carried out in conjunction with the collective Cuenca Ciudad para Vivir Mejor and the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Production Chambers of Azuay.

Francisco Salgado, rector of the UDA, expressed his satisfaction for the integration of the universities in the project. The rector Enrique Pozo, thanked for the opportunity for the Catholic University of Cuenca to join this group.
