U. del Azuay will present electric vehicle in the United States

Today, students and professors of the Automotive Mechanics Engineering career at the Universidad del Azuay (UDA) will present their electric car that will represent Ecuador at the Shell Eco Marathon Americas 2019.

 The teachers implemented a vehicle that aims to be efficient without polluting the environment too much. For this, more than 20.000 dollars were invested, since the latest technology and first quality materials were used.

After the construction, the electric car will enter the testing stage, but not before showing it to the public this afternoon, from the 15: 00, in the Science and Technology auditorium of the UDA.

Meanwhile, between the 3 and 6 in April, the Shell Eco Marathon Americas will be held in California, United States, where students and professors from universities around the world will present their vehicles in a competition.

The University of Azuay was already part of this event in 2016 in that year, the students won the award for perseverance, since their car broke down, however, the participants worked as a team to find a solution to the problem. For the prize they received 2000 dollars.
