Free sewing workshops will be held

The Reinas de Cuenca Foundation, the School Association of the Faculty of Design and the Department of Continuing Education of the Universidad del Azuay will carry out during the months of July and August the First Entrepreneurship and Sewing Workshop.


This program is aimed at women with limited economic resources who need to generate income for their families.
It is defined and developed to train in sewing, weaving, administrative training and basic accounting for 15 women. At the end of the workshop, of 35 hours, the participants will have the knowledge and skills to start their own enterprise.


This free workshop includes: Practical classes, theoretical, refreshments and materials.
Doménica Cobo, Queen of Cuenca, emphasized the need to support women who, in many cases, are the economic support of their homes so that in the medium term they can have a business that allows them to improve their quality of life.
