Project to promote export development

The Institute of Promotion of Exports and Investments PRO Ecuador and the University of Azuay, UDA, signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement.

The purpose of this union between the public sector and academia is to strengthen the joint participation in activities and projects aimed at micro, small and medium enterprises, MSMEs, Ecuadorians that have an exporting character or that are already in export processes of their products.

Francisco Salgado, rector of the UDA, stressed the importance of the Framework Agreement, stating that this will be a vital instrument to establish collaboration mechanisms for scientific and technological research.

Meanwhile, Silvana Vallejo, head of PRO Ecuador said that the work experiences between the academic sector and this entity are positive. Proof of this is the execution of the Export Packaging Design Project, which for the second time is carried out with a Guayaquil university.

"In the case of the Universidad del Azuay, with more than 50 years of experience, it is mainly intended to promote programs related to the use of digital tools for the international promotion of both brands and Ecuadorian companies," said the official.
