Students of several careers of the University of Azuay were awarded for being the authors of an innovative proposal for public transport use.

 

Young people, students of Architecture, Organizational Psychology and other disciplines, proposed adding a function to the payment cards of the urban bus ticket, in such a way that points are added to earn free tickets on the buses, for each occasion that transports are used. alternatives such as the tram or the "Bici Pública".

 

The young people were inspired by certain modalities that follow air transport, in which miles accumulate.

 

Their proposal was presented in the context of a university competition organized by the Mobility Company (EMOV), the Municipality of Cuenca and Red Cedia, (Ecuadorian Corporation for the Development of Research and the Academy), an organization that brings together institutions linked to Research and Education.

 

The proposal had to be innovative. His included creating a magnetic field in the "Movilizate" cards. For the presentation of the proposal they received workshops and training; They interacted with 32 university teams and were winners.

 

Now, the university team "Movimillas" can receive technical advice for the implementation of the suggestion formulated by them.
