Works reflect "Woman's Look"

The feminine sensitivity for the stroke, the depth, the handling of the color palette is noted. It can be seen that the eyes of the women are very careful not to let go of details that give a complement to their painting work; that is how the works of "Mirada de Mujer" are, a sample presented this season at the Casa de la Universidad del Azuay (Av. Solano and Tadeo Torres).

The paintings have a woman's stamp. From authors who received techniques in Lorena Vázquez academies, in Olmedo Alvarado schools and now have this activity of painting landscapes, still lifes, portraits as a way of life.

Professionals, housewives, find time to paint and now they found a place to exhibit. Their proposals teach what interests them, moves them sensitive fibers. They are not consecrated painters but they have painting as part of their action, their expression, even their life, says María del Carmen Calderón.
