Medical students from two universities had 100% pass rate in the CACES exam

The Council for the Assurance of the Quality of Higher Education (CACES) published the results of the Qualification Examination for Professional Practice (EHEP) taken by students of the country's medical schools, corresponding to the second call, that is, November 2024.

Of the 22 medical schools in Ecuador, two stood out because 100% of their students passed the exam that qualifies them to practice the profession. These are:

1) International University of Ecuador

2) University of Azuay

In the case of the International University, 29 students were evaluated and all 29 passed without problems. Meanwhile, 54 students from the University of Azuay were evaluated and all passed.

Overall, universities had a high percentage of approved candidates. Above 90% were:

  • Chimborazo Polytechnic School with 97,01% of approved students
  • Central University of Ecuador with 96,25% of approved students
  • UTE University with 95,76% of approved students
  • Private University of Specialties Espíritu Santo with 94,59% of approved students
  • University of Cuenca with 94,16% of approved students
  • Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador with 94,12% of approved students
  • San Francisco University of Quito with 92,16% of approved students
