The first question of a university student, when leaving his faculty, is where to start his professional life. For this, the traditional allies have been, the various means of communication in their classified sections and the Internet.

However, this may be different when the higher education center has an employment department or a graduate unit, which manages the placement of its professionals in different companies.
Rubén Tamayo, coordinator of the Labor Exchange of the University of Azuay UDA, pointed out that the main objective, of this type of department, is to achieve a higher index of labor insertion among the people who leave the universities.
"The services are several for the professionals, even the connection of the students who need to carry out their professional practices is achieved. We are a channel of direct communication with businessmen and interested parties, "Tamayo explained.

Operation
In the case of the UDA, the job board uses a digital platform to publish announcements of job offer and demand. Tamayo commented that "students and graduates enter their resumes, while companies share the professional profile and job description."
The coordinator of the job board stressed that before making the information public, both the student and the company, we proceed to verify the veracity of all the exposed.
Another center of higher education that has an employment exchange is the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja, UTPL.
Mireya Landacay, coordinator of the Graduate Unit of the UTPL, announced that through this department the percentage of employment of graduates of this university is monitored.
"We developed software that allows us to share information in a segmented way with our graduates of job offers and with companies the profiles that fit their needs. This way we guarantee greater effectiveness in contracting, "said Landacay.

Result
The UDA Employment Exchange started its activities since May of 2015. Tamayo pointed out that in this first year 60 was able to place people in different jobs. In the same way in the 2016 they were able to place 100 people among students and graduates.
The Graduate Unit of the UTPL through its job vacancy initiated functions in the 2012. In the first year of operation, Landacay said that it was possible to place two professionals at a national level.
However, he stressed that the previous year it was possible to place 15 professionals from all its headquarters and for this year a goal of 30 graduates was established.

Profiles
According to Tamayo, the professionals who mostly manage to position themselves in various positions are from the Administration, Accounting, Marketing and different engineering courses.
