The University of Azuay will build a new campus on a property via Baños

A new university campus aspires to build the University of Azuay, in an area located on the road to Baños, close to the Borja Educational Unit, where the first stone was laid.

Within a period of two years, the building is expected to be ready, it will be a complex of eight buildings, three floors and a coliseum. The Asuncion Educational Unit, a technological institute and careers at night of the UDA will work here.

The rector, Francisco Salgado, mentioned that the Asunción educational community, which has worked together at the university for more than 40 years, will have its new premises in that place, while the buildings that will be vacated will be used for the university.

He reported that the land was purchased from the Jesuit community of Borja about 15 years ago.

It will be a new campus, to accommodate many students and built with all the technological and didactic requirements. (I)
