Food Engineering of the UDA carried out the Entrepreneurs Fair

The April 5 inaugurated the Food Entrepreneurship Fair organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Food Engineering career.

The opening ceremony was attended by Francisco Salgado, Rector of the University; Andrés López, Dean of the Faculty; Pedro Crespo, Subdecano, and María Fernanda Rosales, Coordinator of the School.

"The main objective of this event is to clarify the confusion about what develops our career, which is basically the conservation and processing of food so that these can be sold in the stores," specified Rosales.

Among the speakers, regulatory agencies such as the National Agency for Health Regulation, Control and Surveillance (ARCSA) and the Ecuadorian Normalization Service (INEN), shared information on issues related to permits, regulations and health records.

They also said present alumni, who presented their brands and ventures as artisanal alcoholic drinks, sausages, cheeses and even "hornado" canned, to show how is the professional life of graduates of the race.

For the development of this event, students from Las Cumbres, Pasos, Alborada and Escuela Taller Cuenca schools were also invited, with the objective of getting to know about what food engineering students do and the topics that are part of this career.

The fair was open to the general public at the House of Services for Society, where those present were able to enjoy the undertakings prepared by the students and former students of the race and know what is the future of those who choose to study this engineering.
