They promote the "Cardioprotected City Basin" project

The Academic League of Trauma and Emergencies (LATE), is developing a project to help the Cuencan community called "Cardioprotected city basin", through the implementation of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), located, at the moment, in four sites strategic of the city. 

At the same time, the largest possible number of inhabitants is educated about the use of these instruments, so that they know their use and their usefulness, since knowing how to use the AED correctly in cases of cardiac arrest can make a difference. between life and death; This is why it is necessary to know what to do in these situations. 

The Ecuadorian League of Trauma and Emergencies collaborates in this project, together with the Integrated Security Service ECU911, the Mayor's Office of Cuenca, CSC Cuenca and the Cantonal Health Council; with the support of the Ecuadorian Red Cross. 

The Academic League of Trauma and Emergencies of Ecuador (LATE), is a non-profit group, formed and directed by students and tutors from the Faculty of Medicine of the universities, with a common interest in the area of ​​trauma and emergencies. Founded in 2013, it has two locations in Zonal 6: the University of Azuay and the University of Cuenca. There are also other academic leagues at the international level.
