They promote ¨Work Tables with the Azuaya Legal Community¨

This Wednesday the Workshop "Work Tables with the Azuaya Legal Community" was held, under the organization of Zone 6 of the Ministry of Labor and Public Service, and the University of Azuay (UDA).

Rafael Vázquez, regional director of said State Portfolio, indicated that in this event two specific points were discussed together with the Chamber of Small Industry of Azuay (CAPIA), Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Industries, Production and Employment (CIPEM Cuenca ) and the Azuay Bar Association.

At Table 1, the Ministerial Agreement on "General Standards Applicable to Comprehensive Labor Inspections" was presented, in order to evaluate infractions versus sanctions, which "in many cases there is disproportionality." In the end, a plenary minute was drawn up in this regard with the different observations to deliver to the competent authorities.

The subject of Table 2 was the Ministerial Agreement regarding the "Technical Regulations that regulate the approval procedure", which would come into effect from September, after being issued by the previous Government. "We have had some criticisms and suggestions in this regard, so I think it is pertinent to study, debate and issue a conclusive document to send it to the Ministry of Labor in Quito," he said.

Vázquez stated that this type of space aims to collect the feelings of the Azuayan legal community, as well as to identify and correct respectfully, participatively and democratically "certain shortcomings in the implementation of regulations", since "academia and legal practice have to go hand in hand ”.

For this reason, the official who has been in office since June 8, anticipated that other work groups will be organized throughout his functions.
