Andrés Robalino, executive director of the CIPEM, explained that Dual Training is a study method originating in Germany and today the most important service of the CIPEM, a pioneering guild and leader in venturing into this training system and taking it to develop at the international level. national. With this background, it becomes an option that ensures the social and economic development of the country, providing youth employment and business productivity.

Robalino pointed out that the study method was implemented almost six years ago in the technical areas, although they have more than 15 years of experience in a dual professional career.

The courses offered are Superior Technology in Sales and Superior Technology in Storage and Production Logistics, both at the University of Azuay; Higher Technology in Industrial Mechanics and Higher Technology in Industrial Electricity, at the Salesian Polytechnic University; finally, Higher Technology in Financial Consulting, at the Technological Institute of Azuay.

Services

Robalino referred to several benefits, both for students and for companies in the Dual Training programs. "Right now we are in the registration stage," he said.

The requirement is to be a Bachelor, college graduate or person who wishes to study a career that provides experience and job opportunities in a short period of two and a half years.

It also includes companies that wish to increase their business competitiveness by tutoring students and incorporating professionals who are up to date with their knowledge among their collaborators.

For students there is a high degree of labor insertion and opportunity for job stability. "It is important to mention that 94% of the students who graduate under the dual training system are hired by companies," the CIPEM representative referred.

Added to this is that dual students are more autonomous and self-taught, in addition to learning to work focused on a goal, always with a clear objective. This means that dual students are 400% more productive compared to a worker with traditional careers, since they acquire more experience by combining their theoretical studies with the practical phase throughout their career.

Finally, they have the opportunity to get international exchanges. "The best graduates do an international internship with all expenses paid," explained Robalino.

Meanwhile, the benefits of Dual Training for companies is that it represents an investment recoverable in an average of one year and also represents savings in training, hiring and adaptation of personnel.

According to the studies carried out within the training companies in Ecuador, they have shown that dual students are productive from the third semester of their career and there are qualified professionals according to the needs of their company, considering that dual students are from 3 to 4 times more productive than traditionally hired employees.
