Students present model of bus stop

The students of the eighth cycle of Architecture at the University of Azuay, UDA, presented yesterday 17 prototypes for bus stops to local authorities, with the purpose of launching this project.

The students, together with the Mobility Company, EMOV, identified 15 spaces for bus stops in the city to carry out the design, these were in the avenues Primero de Mayo, Fray Vicente Solano, Huayna Cápac, Twelve of April, sector El Vergel , Old Street and the Mall of the River.

Juan Sebastian Vintimilla, student of the UDA, said that this work took several months and was born from the need to have more comfortable and safe stops for public transport users. "Each group was assigned a different site, which is why there are several proposals," he said.

The designs of the students will be exhibited in the Mayor's Gallery until tomorrow, and there is the commitment of the municipal companies to be able to materialize the project. For this they will seek cooperation from private companies.
The prototypes have spaces for publicity, electricity points, information on bus lines, wi-fi, among other characteristics that differentiate them from the current ones.
