Students complete Rotary Internship at HJCA

46 medical students from three universities in Cuenca, completed the Rotary Internship year that they did at the José Carrasco Arteaga Specialty Hospital (HJCA).

Through a statement, it was reported that students from the University of Cuenca, Católica and Azuay, were part of the Rotating Internship program, from September 01, 2020 to August 31, 2021, a period in which students students performed rotations in areas such as pediatrics, surgery, clinic, community medicine, gynecology, and obstetrics.

“Today you finish the most important year of your medical career. The internship not only defines them as doctors but also as people, it gives them many qualities and abilities that they acquired throughout the year they spent here, in this hospital, ”emphasized Jorge Ulloa, HJCA medical director.

General of Teaching of the aforementioned health house, mentioned that this achievement fills with joy not only the doctors but also the students and their families. "It has been a year of work, effort, emotional and physical fatigue and you have done a great job, despite the context of the pandemic in which we find ourselves," explained the manager.

The students received the certificate that indicates the culmination of the year of the rotating internship and in a very emotional act they proceeded to the imposition of aprons by the relatives, as a sign of having finished the program in this hospital.
