Brazil and Ecuador join and investigate the Communication

Recognized as one of the guru in the subject of communication and sustainability, María Aparecida Ferrari, a Brazilian, was in Cuenca and among the activities she shared in the framework of the International Conference on Communication for Sustainability, organized by the Universidad del Azuay , UDA, was the presentation of the book "Tejiendo Sustentabilidad desde la Comunicación en América Latina".

The work is the result of a whole project of scientific research carried out between María Aparecida and the professor Ana María Durán Cuenca, both of whom have been digging deep into the subject of communication and sustainability, at the level of several Latin American countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile , Bolivia, among others and included within this proposal, scientific articles by other researchers from the Latin American Southern Cone.

"The work would have been incomplete without the contribution of outstanding teachers and researchers who enriched it and completed the view from the particular perspectives of other Latin American countries.

Thus, "Weaving Sustainability from Communication in Latin America," is a proposal that is divided into six chapters that present particular realities regarding the trajectory and communication processes and sustainability, "says the introductory part of this book, which was presented on Thursday, at the UDA.

This book is the fruit of that interest and communion of the Durán and Aparecida researchers, of ideas and dreams that come true. "I think it was the dreams that we had together at the time of structuring the research and the contribution of the rectory of the University of Azuay, which made it possible to continue with this dream and so we walked," said the Brazilian researcher and professor.

The work is a profound vision of the role of communication as a fundamental element of sustainability in the contemporary world. The contribution to crystallize this work is varied, including the participation of 177 Brazilian and Ecuadorian communicators who joined the study and was the essence to achieve the silver results.
