Azuay: classes in 82 campuses

A total of 82 schools and colleges in the province of Azuay are authorized by the Emergency Operations Committee (COE) National to return to face-to-face classes from this Monday, June 7.

For example, in Cuenca there are the educational establishments: Técnico Salesiano, Santa Ana, Interamericana and Alemán Stiehle; and also the educational units of the millennium Victoria del Portete and Quingeo.

The following schools also include: Leoncio Gallegos Solano, February 17, Manuela Garaicoa de Calderón, Pichilcay and Garabatos; and the La Rayuela Educational Sports Foundation.

There are also private children's educational centers: La Cometa, Kinder Garden, Crayola, Bambi, My Creative Corner, Toy World, Planet Dreams, Paths of Knowledge and El Bosque, among others.

In other cantons, such as: Pucará, there are 25 establishments that will be able to open their classrooms; in Santa Isabel six; in Girón two; in Paute two; in Seville de Oro six; in Sigsig 14; and in Nabón two.

The COE also authorized the application of piloting to 14 higher education institutions: among which are the University of Cuenca and the University of Azuay (UDA), which are in Cuenca.

Similarly, the COE lifted the suspension of face-to-face classes at 23 higher-level institutions. These include the Catholic University of Cuenca (UCACUE) and the American College and South American institutes.
