Agenda for the April holidays

The Municipality of Cuenca presented a virtual agenda called Abril Artes Mil, with the events and activities organized to commemorate the 464 years of the founding of Cuenca.

Most of the acts will be virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the state of exception, decreed by the National Government and recommended by the National Emergency Operations Committee (COE).

For today, for example, the ARDIS Workshop on Crafts and Design Week 2021 is scheduled, with the theme: Global trends, coolhunting and local signals of change for design opportunities. It will be at 10:00.

Later, at 17:00 p.m., there is the ARDIS Talk, Crafts and Design week 2021 with the theme: Tradition and innovation: possible bridges, by Gabriela Eljuri, from the University of Azuay (UDA). It will be on Facebook Live.

At 18:00 p.m., as part of this same meeting, there will be the talk: Ecuadorian neo-craftsmanship: looks and reflections on collaborative work between artisans and designers. They will exhibit Lorena Páez Iturralde and Margarita Malo Larrea.

For tomorrow, from 09:00, a health care session is scheduled at the Cuenca Municipal Hospital, and at 10:00 an educational film presentation:

healthy and nutritious food.

The Dialogues and Mediation meeting of the exhibition is scheduled for 15:00 pm: Ágora Galería Juvenil, at the Casa de las Posadas; and from 17:00 p.m. the neo-craft talk, towards a paradigm shift in the artisan field.

For Thursday, at 09:30, the program is scheduled for the Commemoration for the XNUMXth anniversary of the Civil Traffic Agents (ACT) and the XNUMXth anniversary of the Mobility Company (EMOV EP).

On this day, at 15:00, the event will be the Reading Mediation and Pop-up storytelling event, at the Gullanzhapa Municipal Library; and at 16:00 p.m. the virtual meeting: Environmental Mediation.

At 19:00 p.m. there will be the presentation of the book: The art of entrepreneurship, by the Soy Azuay Collective, in the old Central School, and at the same time there will be the Resilience of Cuencano Art event. I Season Concert 2021.

Lucía Moscoso, a doctor and researcher in preventive health, considers the municipality's decision that the events for the April holidays are mostly online.
