Activate "filter" for false news

A total of 2.381 followers reached yesterday the @CuyVerdad account, on the social network Twitter, created the November 28 by a group of students and professors from the University of Azuay (UDA).

It is a project, which is also on other platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, whose objective is to denounce fake news, also known as fake news, in this election season.

It also revealed that data from an Analytical Policy account that published a poll with the intention to vote for Mayor of Cuenca are not real.

@CuyVerdad found that "since the date of creation of the page (on Facebook) no content has been published (previous) ... It does not indicate the methodology with which the survey was conducted ...", among other features.

Jorge Piedra, professor of the UDA and his students of the subject of Ethics of Communication, in the school of Social Communication, yesterday just as an exercise for @CuyVerdad analyzed a video of 47 seconds.

The same has been disseminated via WhatsApp and is a complaint about anticipated registration procedures of the Mobility Company (EMOV EP), of the Municipality of Cuenca. They concluded that it is false information.

In the 24 March 2019 sectional elections 23 will be elected prefects, 23 vice prefects, 221 mayors, 867 city councilors, 438 rural councilors and 4.089 members of parish boards.
