On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, the enriching webinar "Water and Equity" was held, an event that explored the importance of gender mainstreaming in water management to achieve a sustainable future. The event had the notable presence of Ana Elizabeth Ochoa Sánchez and Paola Montenegro Díaz, researchers from the University of Azuay, as well as the participation of special guests: Pablo Lloret, Director of the Fundación Futuro Latinoamericano, and Sandra Lopez, Director of the GAMMA Foundation. 

The webinar, which was developed through the Zoom platform, became a space open to the community, where fundamental topics related to gender equity and water management were discussed, two crucial aspects to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. 5 (Gender Equality) and 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) of the United Nations.

During four hours of dialogue and reflection, participants had the opportunity to learn about the intersections between gender and equitable access to water, as well as effective strategies to promote the inclusion of gender perspectives in decision-making related to water. water resources.

The presence of experts in the field guaranteed a high-level debate, supported by solid research and practical experiences. In addition, webinar attendees had the opportunity to interact and ask questions to the speakers, further enriching the exchange of ideas.
