"University-Truth" presentation number 83 of the magazine

On January 8, the University of Azuay together with its Publishing House presented the magazine “Universidad-Verdad” number 83, an event that is framed within the fulfillment of the sustainable development objectives, mainly objective 4: Quality Education.

The event was attended by authorities, teachers and students from our university community.

This text talks about the circular, social and sustainable economy; It refers to a fundamental paradigm from which we seek to enhance environmental, economic and social solutions and challenges for today's world. In this context, transitions towards circular models imply strengthening and promoting reuse, recycling and waste reduction, while breaking with traditional linear mentalities of using and throwing away.

The welcoming words were given by Genoveva Malo, academic vice-rector of the University, who pointed out that this emblematic magazine covers topics of interest about society, culture and science and in this edition in particular it addresses an extremely relevant topic such as commitment to the circular economy.

Likewise, Jackelin Verdugo, professor and researcher at the UDA and editor-in-chief of the Universidad-Verdad magazine, addressed those present, telling about how the magazine is structured and the topics it addresses.

For his part, Luis Tonon, professor and content editor of the magazine, carried out its official launch.
