University: the search for reason in the light of love. Conference by Monsignor Andrés Carrascosa

On May 28 at the University of Azuay, the conference “The Synodal Path” was held by Monsignor Andrés Carrascosa, apostolic nuncio in Ecuador; event that is framed in the fulfillment of the sustainable development objectives, mainly objective 16: Peace, Justice and Solid Institutions.
The event was attended by authorities, teachers, administrative staff and students from our university community, members of the Archdiocese of Cuenca and the general public.
The welcoming words were given by Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who indicated that this meeting has great relevance, highlighting fundamental aspects such as the contemplation of the beauty of creation from humility, the search for the construction of peace and the relevance of sharing in community, all integrated into the synodal path.
In turn, Monsignor Marcos Pérez Caicedo, Archbishop of Cuenca and chancellor of the University of Azuay, pointed out that this conference has been conceived as a fraternal meeting, designed to bring together participants and share pastoral experiences.
At the end of the interventions, the conference was given by Monsignor Andrés Carrascosa, who during his presentation shared extremely important knowledge, emphasizing the training of people for the construction of a world of fraternity and peace, proposing the University as a a place capable of thinking in community and from multiple fronts.
