A new economy for a new world

On May 20, 2021, the event "Circular economy and neutral carbon in the face of the change of era" was held, by Miguel Ángel Santinelli, professor of social responsibility at the Universidad Anáhuac, Mexico.

The event was organized by the Department of Continuing Education, the Faculty of Administration of the University of Azuay and the Ethics and Society Program, in order to publicize characteristics of the circular economy.

The exhibition was planned for teaching students and the general public and the themes exposed were the reconstruction of the economy, societies and the biosphere, and positive changes for the future.

Another of the topics exposed was the life cycle of products and the way in which the pandemic altered the planet's economy, although in environmental terms it could have represented a temporary relief.

The event culminated with a round of questions from the attendees.
