A master's degree to rethink our relationship with the environment in these times

The Postgraduate Department of the University of Azuay offers the second edition of the Master's Degree in Interior Design, with particular emphasis on the design of commercial and work spaces, aimed at architects and designers of interiors and objects.

The program lasts one year, including the degree work, and registrations close on August 14.

As Giovanny Delgado, director of this postgraduate program, points out, "the dynamics in the relationship of the human being with the spaces in which he lives, today, is different".

Delgado adds that "the discipline of interior design emerges as the possibility of innovating the way of living a space, be it: domestic, work, commercial or social".

For the teacher of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art, in the current circumstances of the planet, due to the pandemic, we are witnessing the transformation of domestic spaces into places of tele-work and tele-study.

Work spaces, on the other hand, must be thought about multifunctionality, security and transformation; and commercial spaces focus their attention on sensory experience and contemporary marketing strategies.

"Today the need to understand the new relationships that must be built between people and their spaces for coexistence is more visible than ever," concludes Delgado.
