This story presents a brief history of the interdisciplinarity of design, one of many possible, and brief because it surely fails to describe the complexity of the historical processes that allowed these exchanges, but it puts in black and white, processes that are difficult to find explicit. in design history books, focused on technical, formal and aesthetic issues rather than interdisciplinary ones.

The welcome speech was given by Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who pointed out that this book is a reason for celebration and recognition since there is great work behind the authors who, in addition to contributing to the field of design, motivate young people to follow in his footsteps.

The presentation of the book was led by Manuela Cordero, architect and master in Design Projects, where she mentioned that the book presented strengthens the necessary review of the history of design, to understand it, in the middle, through and based on the facts. that made it possible and on which the design has a decisive impact.

The official launch was carried out by Anna Tripaldi, director of the University's Department of Culture, representing the authors.
