UDA and Alianza Francesa strengthen their ties and collapse walls

The University of Azuay signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement with the French Alliance on Friday 21 in September at the House of Service to the Society of the UDA.

This approach between both institutions will not remain in the papers but will involve the demolition of the dividing wall between the building of the French Alliance and the House of Service, located on Avenida Solano and Tadeo Torres.

This aims to strengthen cooperation between the two entities and improve the landscape of the city.

Francisco Salgado, Rector of the University of Azuay, said "be very happy to sign this agreement" and stressed that both institutions have been working together for months: from the school year March-July 2018 taught French at the University to through the French Alliance.

For the President of the Alliance Française in Cuenca, Cecilia Andrade, "the alliances strengthen and, even more so, when they are two educational institutions with a goal of improvement for the students".

Also present at the signing of the agreement was Jean Baptiste Chauvin, Ambassador of France in Ecuador, who underlined the embassy's support for culture and the strengthening of student life.

The work is in charge of the Consultant of Architecture and Urbanism of the UDA, with direction of Diego Proaño.
