The event was attended by authorities, teachers, and students from our university community, as well as officials and members of the Cuenca municipality and other city institutions.
The meeting began with remarks from Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who noted that the purpose of these institutions is to organize hope; through this project, they seek to create sustainable communities and thus propose a new way of living and moving around.
In turn, Juan Manuel Arévalo, founder of the company Cuenca Bike Tours, addressed those present, mentioning that this project fosters spaces for socialization and agreement and the promotion of sustainable practices in our city.
For their part, Julio Diaz, Adrián Bermeo, and Daniela Sigua, students from our university community and representatives of Tomebambike, mentioned that the "UDA Sobre Ruedas" project was born from the desire to transform the way we live and move around Cuenca.
