UDA Law Review: launch of its 6th Volume

On May 22, the University of Azuay, together with the Faculty of Law and the publishing house, launched the journal "UDA Law Review: Volume VI, Issue XNUMX." This event is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The event was attended by authorities, teachers, administrative staff, students from our university community and the general public.

UDA Law Review Volume VI Number 1, collects articles of current relevance that propose new visions of Law in practice and that question existing positions, providing a differentiating element to the academic and legal world.

The launch began with remarks from Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who congratulated the young people behind the journal, highlighting the effort and dedication that goes into this project, which captures dreams, ideas, and knowledge with the goal of sharing critical and academic thinking. He noted that UDA Law Review is the result of collaborative work between students and professors, and acknowledged that many of the participants in this initiative have become positive role models for their peers.

Guillermo Ochoa, assistant dean of the Faculty of Law, addressed the audience, noting that this publication represents a significant academic contribution to the Faculty. He emphasized that it is not merely a collection of articles, but rather a proposal that articulates ideas, promotes the dissemination of research, and actively contributes to the development of legal discourse.

For his part, Santiago Meneses, editor-in-chief of the journal, noted that this day not only celebrates the publication of a new issue, but also the collaborative efforts of academics, students, editors, reviewers, and contributors who made this achievement possible. He emphasized that this edition brings together seven articles that address current and relevant legal topics with a critical, academic perspective oriented toward excellence.

After the presentations, the academic panel "New Constituent Assembly in Ecuador: Democracy, Institutionality, and Governance" took place, with the participation of Claudia Storini, Esteban Polo, José Chalco Salgado, and Ana María Bustos as moderator.
