UDA launches Master of Education

On November 11, the University of Azuay, together with its Postgraduate Department, inaugurated its new Master of Education.

The opening ceremony began with the words of Father Romel Soto, Director of the Master of Education, to continue with the welcoming words of Mateo Coello, Director of the Postgraduate Department.

Francisco Salgado, Rector; Martha Cobos, Academic Vice Chancellor, and Jacinto Guillén completed the board of directors.

There was also the special presence of Catalina Vélez, President of the Council of Higher Education (CES), who during her speech mentioned:

“In our country there is very little offer of postgraduate education and there is also a great need for it for the approximately 10 teachers in Ecuador. This is a response to the needs of the country, to the needs of an enormously significant sector for development ”.

Likewise, the official thanked the University of Azuay for making possible the dreams of the teachers and her own dream, making possible another step in the development of the country.

The master's course was open to the public with the mentions of Didactics for Basic Education, Management and Leadership and Management of ICT-mediated Learning.

The Master of Education was born as an initiative of the University of Azuay in view of the need to offer Ecuadorian teachers an educational program based on competencies and in the search to train fourth-level teachers who are capable of addressing the main topics of education by applying tools theoretical, conceptual and methodological.

The inaugural event concluded with wishes of success to the teachers during the course of the program.
