UDA 5K: the most important sporting event of the year
On December 01st, the “UDA 5k” race was held at the University of Azuay, which ran from the Hospital Universitario del Río to our central campus, going along the entire Av. 24 de Mayo.
Authorities, teachers, administrative staff and students from our university community, as well as adults, young people and children from the city and the country, participated in this meeting.
Our institution carries out different programs and activities related to sports and recreation, with the “UDA 5K” athletic competition being the most important event of the year.
Once the race was over, the awards ceremony for the General Category for men and women took place. Subcategories were also awarded for the diverse public that participated in this event. These were: Students, Teachers, Administrative Staff and UDA Graduates, Intercollegiate, Interuniversity and People with Special Abilities.
This is how the University of Azuay supports and encourages the active participation of its collaborators and the community in outdoor events; this event undoubtedly contributes to the physical and mental well-being of all participants.
