Sixth edition of the "Knowledge and Culture Days"

The 25 of April, of 9 of the morning to 8 of the night, was realized in the Faculty of Science and Technology the sixth edition of the denominated "Days of Knowledge and Culture", so that students, professors, professionals and citizens can talk about challenges and successful experiences in various fields of science.

The topics of the exhibitors correspond to the different careers of the Faculty, that is, seven conferences organized by the School representatives and a general one organized by the Dean of the Faculty.

This space was attended by Marco Palacios Quezada with his lecture "The engineer in production and its operations"; Paulina Padrón and Mario Cabrera Ordoñez, with his presentation on "Practical design guides in accordance with Ecuadorian regulations"; Edgar Pillajo and his theme "Mining at the service of Ecuadorians"; and Juan Daniel Jaramillo, who spoke about "Bioengineering for ecological restoration".

Also participating were Cristian Jaramillo, Andrés Pozo and Marco Velez, who spoke on "The value of experience as an automotive technician"; Xavier Gordillo and his subject "Electronic engineering in industrial research and development"; Diego Piedra and his lecture on "The importance of Human Rights"; and Fabián Carrasco Castro (former Rector of the University of Cuenca) analyzed the "Experiences on teaching-learning in university education".

The Dean of the Faculty, Andrés López, commented that the Science and Technology auditorium has a capacity of 70 people and "there has been such a welcome from the students that it has always been filled".

Lopez added how important it is for students to get involved in other topics that are not generally studied in classrooms, so that they do not remain in a single area of ​​knowledge or in a single area of ​​discussion.
