ISIC and ITIC credentials are delivered to the UDA

The November 14 and 15 the University of Azuay carried out the ISIC and ITIC Carnetization Process, which was carried out in the faculties of Administration Sciences, Science and Technology, and Medicine.

During these days the interested persons approached the points and hours indicated to take a photograph and deliver their data.

These cards allow accrediting their bearers as students, teachers or administrative staff at an international level, which brings benefits when entering museums and libraries, obtaining discounts when using transports or acquiring products at a lower price in certain commercial establishments.

The idea was born by the department of MiUDA led by Engineer María Elena Castro, in the search for new benefits for students, teachers and administrative staff.

Although before there was a card that had the corresponding data, it did not enjoy greater importance outside the university, for which reason the possibility of internationalizing the credential was raised.

"The authorities have been very emphatic that the university should already internationalize as a brand, this was the way, the students are practically our spokespersons, our representatives," said Rubén Tamayo, a psychologist from the MiUDA department.

Then the issuance of ISIC cards for students and ITIC for administrators and teachers was coordinated with the company Grupo IDIOMAS -under the tutelage of Santiago A. Sáiz, Director General.

In the case of students, the University will cover the cost during this cycle since for the next one they will have to cancel a value of 7,50 $ and in the case of admiring teachers 10,50 $; for nobody it is obligatory to acquire it.
