The "Afternoon Dialogue" returns to Communication

On the afternoon of Thursday 28 of March of 2019, the School of Communication received one of its alumni, current Director of Marketing of Honda Motos, Juan Pablo Madero, who dictated a talk called "Emotional Marketing: From strategy to creativity" .

During the conference several topics related to marketing, advertising, the strategy to create successful campaigns, creativity, research and the objectives that have to be considered at the time of campaigning were discussed.

Juan Pablo mentioned that "clients will often forget what you told them, but they will never forget how you made them feel", to emphasize the importance of creating, connecting and converting with the potential client on an emotional level.

Finally, who was one of the best graduates of this School, expressed his passion for advertising and marketing indicating that these disciplines give us "the ease of working with people, for people, with products, in science and in different branches" .

The so-called "dialogue afternoons" were born two years ago at the School of Communication as an opportunity to learn about career-related topics from the perspective of people who are in the professional, practical and theoretical areas.

This space, which has returned within the framework of the 30 years that the race completes, arose with the purpose of having students receive training beyond the classrooms and, in turn, graduates of the School to return to the University to collaborate with this training.

Sebastián Carrasco, president of the School of Communication, mentions that "the importance of this space lies in providing students the opportunity to train beyond the classroom and acquire new tools to apply them in the workplace."

The "Afternoon Dialogue" is aimed exclusively at students of Social Communication, although Carrasco and his binomial, Alejandra Orellana, have analyzed the possibility of expanding this space and invite other faculties or schools of the University of Azuay to participate in future occasions .
